Royal Ann- Sweet Cherry

Very old French variety. Large, firm, light yellow fruit with a beautiful rose blush. Firm, juicy, sweet flesh. Excellent fresh and for processing. Holds shape well. Considered one of the best for brining and canning. Often used for commercial maraschino cherries. Upright tree grows rapidly 20-25’ tall. Heavy bearer when it misses the spring frosts. Ripens midseason. Pollinize with Black Tartarian, Montmorency, Sam, Stella , Van or Windsor but not with Bing or Lambert. Requires 700 hours of chilling. Hardy in Zones 5-7.
