Medium size, bright yellow fruit with a red blush. Juicy, pleasant, sweet flavor is similar to but more intense than Bartlett. Flesh is melting but firm; remains firm to the core when ripe. Excellent fresh eating and dessert pear; not well suited for canning. Vigorous, very hardy, upright to spreading tree to 15’-20’. Glossy, green foliage turns red in the fall. Requires a pollenizer resistant to fire blight. Ripens in late September. Hardy into Zone 4.
