One of the parents of Cortland. Large, handsome, red and red striped fruit. Hard, coarse white flesh. Bruise resistant. Exceptional keeper, lasting until June or July. Good pollinator. Some disease resistance. Ripens late. Once called “mortgage lifter” for the income it generated by shipping barge loads on the Mississippi River to New Orleans for export.
