Small to medium, yellow-striped fruit splashed with light and dark red. Fine, crisp, tender, juicy, yellowish white flesh. Very good, slightly aromatic, sub-acid flavor. Ripens September to October. Old New York apple that originated at Aurora in Cayuga County. First described in 1848.
