Cercocarpus montanus
12’-20’. Zone 4. Shrub does well in dry soils, with mostly sunny exposure. Tolerant of drought and high pH. Toothed, wedge shaped leaves. Native to western states. Does well on exposed sites where other shrubs might fail.
