Dark red, heart-shaped fruit, slightly smaller than Bing. Strong, upright tree. Vigorous, hardy and heavy bearing. Not as productive as Bing in first 12 years. More resistant to late spring frosts. Ripens 1-2 weeks later. Pollinize with Angela, Black Tartarian, Rainier, Sam, Stella or Van. Requires 800 hours of chilling. Hardy in zones 5-7. Ranks second only to Bing as a commercial variety. Introduced in 1964.
